One of our customers is implementing App-V 4.6. A single App-V test server has been set up on a Server 2008 R2 installation and everything works fine and all, but at irregular times the 'connection' with the AD seems to be lost when implementing new applications.
As soon as some new application is being imported, not a single security group shows up at the "access permission" tab of the New Application Wizard. Only a reboot of the App-V server seems to fix this problem, but this will not be an option when this system has been put live.
The only thing I found in the logs of the App-V server is the 1030 Error: "The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to retrieve new Group Policy settings for this user or computer. Look in the details tab for error code and description. Windows will automatically retry this operation at the next refresh cycle. Computers joined to the domain must have proper name resolution and network connectivity to a domain controller for discovery of new Group Policy objects and settings. An event will be logged when Group Policy is successful."
Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem we're having. Haven't found anything useful yet. The logs on the AD server aren't showing any problems that are relevant.
Does anyone have had the same problem and figured this out?
