Altiris job logs in as user that has lots of apps, executes sfttray.exe /refreshall. Probably an impersonation or something else that simulates runas.
Any pitfalls with this?

Not that I can see. Most people do this with a Scheduled Task, but I assume an Altiris job would work just the same.
