Publish Globally VS Publish to the User

Post by RoryRut » Sat Jan 27, 2018 1:27 am

With App-V 5.1+, (Windows 10 64-bit 1607 at this point in time, 1709 is being worked) what items are lost when you publish to the user? We are going to use SCCM and deploy to users. So the App-V apps are going to publish to the user. Up to this point we have always published globally with a standalone implementation. In the past, these things required global publishing: Embedded shell extensions, Application Capabilities, Context Menu handler, Browser Helper Object, Active X Object. I think context menu handlers and run virtual can now be used when publishing to the user. Does anything else now work when publishing to the user? Or do I need to entertain publishing each app to the user and globally?
