Hello @ all,

i hope you can help me.

I have set up a AppV managment Server, it runs fine with apps.
Now i have setup a Streaming Server on another machine. Copy all Content files and share the Content folder.

But if the client refresh the streaming server it become an error:

Code: Select all

---------------------------
Application Virtualization Error
---------------------------
The Application Virtualization Client could not update publishing information from the server AppV-Server.
The server did not understand the request. Report the following error code to your System Administrator.

Error code: 4615186-1680D20A-00000014
i can connect to the server with telnet : 554

The Streaming Server doesn't publish applications it only streams them. The Management Server does both. Point the client's publishing server to the Management Server and use ApplicationSourceRoot to get the client to stream from the Streaming Server.

See these links for more info on the ApplicationSourceRoot property of the client to control streaming:

2 cents:

In a default Streaming Server installation, users need NTFS read permissions to the SFT files (altthough RTSP is used)

The Streaming Server "refreshes" its content repository every some (30, 60?) Minutes by default - so users may get an error if you deployed a new application just a few seconds to the Streaming Server.
