Hi,

may Sequencing .NET Framework 4.0 and using it in DSC or App-V FAQ: Can I virtualize the .NET Framework or Visual C++ Redistributables? give you some hints how to handle your request.

+ http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 07597.aspx, telling that sequencing of dot.net 4 in general is a supported scenario.

However I'd declare dot.net as part of the base OS whenever possible.

Yup, installing it locally is your best bet - one day you week come across an app that requires it that cannot be sequenced so you will end up having to install it eventually anyway.

The only .NET version I bother sequencing is 1.1, for the very rare app that requires it but doesn't work with 2.0.
