Noob Question: How to do you test Profiled Apps?

Post by rileyz » Fri Apr 04, 2014 10:28 pm

Right, so I have a Windows Installer and App-V background.

Roll on XenApp App virt stuff, fiddle fiddle here and there, looks ok to use - kinda like app-v but not so great (sorry citrix!)

Right so I have a profiled app now, but how do I test it? App-V you have standalone mode, is there something like that for XenApp? There has to be some way to test the app without all the infrastructure?

I googled but I couldn't find much on XenApp, just tuts on profiling apps, but none it covers quick testing. Was thinking someone here could just say use X tool or do xyz, but im hoping not "build a test infrastructure" lab :S

Thanks for any input and tips.

Citrix have dropped support for profiled apps and told everybody to just use App-V instead. So since you know App-V, there's your solution right there!
